Introduction
A dashboard is a collection of various visualizations from your account, displayed on a single page.
It allows you to quickly gain an overview of the current situation in your greenhouse.
This means that if you hover your cursor over a chart for more than a second, the same time indicator will appear across all charts.
Additionally, gauges and the weather tile display values for the selected time period.
There are two types of dashboards: Crop Group Dashboards and Personal Dashboards.
This manual will explain both in detail, but first, we’ll cover the general functionality and navigation of the dashboards.
General
Navigation
When you log into MyLetsGrow, you will always land on a dashboard by default.
Good to know: by clicking on the LetsGrow\.com logo, you return to the most recently used dashboard.
This logo mainly functions as a 'home' button.
Clicking on the dashboard name opens a drop-down menu where you can navigate to all available dashboards.
This menu includes the following categories:
Favorites
Dashboards marked as favorites by your account. This is unique to each MyLetsGrow account.
Crop Groups
Dashboards available from crop groups. These dashboards are organized by year and by crop group.
Personal
Dashboards available within your own MyLetsGrow account.
Module
Some modules have their own dashboard, showing how the module’s tool functions.
Archived
Dashboards from crop groups that have been archived.
Time Period Selection
The data displayed on the dashboard is based on the selected time period.
In the top right corner, under 'Select a period', you can choose the desired time frame.
The selected period applies to all tiles on the dashboard.
Optionally, you can lock the selected period by clicking the 'Lock period' button.
Adding Tiles
Tiles can be added using the "+ Add tile" button in the bottom right corner.
This button is available if you have sufficient rights or if you are the owner of the personal dashboard.
Tiles are visual representations of elements (charts, overviews, and visualizations) that your account already has access to.
Details about how this works are explained in the **Crop Group Dashboards** and **Personal Dashboards** sections.
Available tile types include:
Chart
Charts available in your account can be added to the dashboard.
Visualization
Gauges or other visual indicators from your account can be added.
Table
Tabular or summary overviews can be displayed.
Weather station
If a weather module is available, a weather tile can be added.
Map
If maps have been created in your account, they can be placed on the dashboard.
In crop groups, a map must be linked to a specific crop.
Notes
Add notes via the app or the note tile. Notes added via the app are linked to a module and require a crop group where the module is linked to a crop.
These notes are visible to anyone the module is shared with (including via a crop group).
Notes added through the note tile are linked directly to the crop group and are visible to all members of that group.
Add photos and videos via the app and display them on the dashboard.
These files are linked to a module and will be visible to everyone the module is shared with.
If no media is available, the tile will remain empty.
Shortcut
Create a shortcut to open an element in a new tab. This can also be used to link to other dashboards.
Customizing Tiles
Tiles can be easily adjusted to personalize the layout of your dashboard.
To resizer a tile, move your cursor to the bottom right corner until it changes to a resize icon.
To remove a tile, click the options menu on the tile and select 'Remove tile'.
To reposition tiles, click and hold the top of a tile and drag it to the desired location.
Dashboards come with extra options, accessible via the options menu button. Available actions include:
- Add dashboard to favorites
- Set dashboard as homepage
- Open dashboard in full screen
- Rename the dashboard (if you have the necessary rights)
- Delete the dashboard (if you have the necessary rights)
Crop Group Dashboards
If you have sufficient permissions within a crop group, you can create **Crop Group Dashboards**.
These dashboards display tiles that show data exclusively from that specific crop group.
To create a Crop Group Dashboard:
Go to the relevant crop group
Click '+ Add', then choose 'New element' and select 'Dashboard'
Alternatively, a dashboard can be created from within an existing dashboard by clicking on the dashboard name, opening the drop-down menu, and selecting **'Create new dashboard'** at the bottom.
When creating a dashboard, you have two options:
1. Use a dashboard template
2. Create an empty dashboard
Dashboard Templates
A template is a pre-configured dashboard with tiles.
These templates are created by the LetsGrow team based on best practices in data-driven cultivation.
This allows you to benefit from existing expertise when creating a dashboard.
When selecting this option, choose a template from the list that best suits your needs.
You'll be prompted to give the dashboard a name.
Once created, all related elements (charts, tables, and visualizations) are automatically added to a folder within the corresponding crop group.
You can then further customize the dashboard as desired.
Create an Empty Dashboard
An empty dashboard is a blank page to which you can add tiles as needed.
These tiles must be based on existing elements (charts, tables, and visualizations) from the crop group.
Personal Dashboards
Personal dashboards are only accessible within your own MyLetsGrow account and cannot be shared with others.
However, a Personal Dashboard **can include elements from multiple crop groups** on a single page.
You can also use elements stored in your personal folder.
Please note: it is **not possible** to use dashboard templates for personal dashboards.
