1 Improve the growing conditions for your crop
Through the weather forecast in combination with manual input and some preset parameters, you get insight into the growth conditions of your crop. This support tool takes your plant iinto account when advising a new Radiation Temperature Ratio (RTR) for the following week, so it saves you time and improves the growth conditions for your crop.
For your convenience, there is a standard chart and overview available. You can find this in a special folder in the relevant crop group. (see red box to go to crop groups).
1.1Decision support RTR – advice(overview)
In the "advice" overview, all measurements are shown that are used to calculate the RTR for the comming weeks. Here you can also clearly see how it has done in the past weeks and what the target is for the coming weeks.
1.2 Decision support RTR – measurements (graph)
In the "measurements" chart, four measurements are shown:
- Expected greenhouse temperature
- Greenhouse temperature
- Expected radiation sum
- Radiation sum
The aforementioned measurements in the chart provide a clear picture of the temperature based on what radiation was and what the predicted radiation will be. These measurements are an important aspect in the growth conditions of your crop.
2 Set your desired parameters
To calculate your RTR, we need some information:
- Target head thickness
- Head thickness
- Base temperature
- Maximum temperature
3 Calculations
The decision support RTR not only gives the above results but adds additional value to the data. The following is also calculated:
- Plant balance; the value that comes out tells you whether your plant is balanced or not through two numbers
- 2 = balanced
- 1 = not balanced
- Plant status; whether the plant is weaker or stronger compared to the previous week. This adjusts the RTR up or down.
