Exporting data from LetsGrow.com

If you want to export data by means of a data export, you will need the rights to do so. This will be the case if you own the modules, if someone shared the modules with you or if you have the editor role or the data exporter role in a crop group.

To make a data export, first go to the folders menu or open a crop group in the crop group menu in your account.

Then create a new element by pressing the green "+ Add" at the bottom right corner of your screen. Choose "create new element". Choose "export" and give your export a name. If you create an export from your folders menu, then you first have to choose the module from which you want to export data and then the items you want to export. If you make an export from your crop group, you can directly select the items available in that crop group.

Chose one or mutliple parameters you want to export and press "next".

Choose the interval you want for your item and press "next".

    1. 5 min is data per 5 minutes interval.
    2. Day is the data grouper per day, i.e. between dawn and sunset.
    3. Night is data grouper per night, i.e. between sunset and dawn.
    4. DayNight is data grouped per 24 hours, from midnight to midnight the next day.

Some data, such as crop registration data, are only available as DayNight

Select the period for your data export. This can be a fixed period in the past or in the future or this can be a specific period between two dates. When your period is set press "save".

You will now see a summary of your data export and you will be able to export the chosen data over a set period to an excel file. You can always change the export by choosing one of the menu on the top right side (red square in the below image). You can also simply create a new data export with different paramaters, interavals and period.

    Items
You can uncheck items you don't want to export by clicking the blue checkmark.

    Export all locations
By ticking "export all location", all locations on which measurements were taken will be exported. This is for instance the case for plant registrations where you register several measuring plants (locations). If you do not check this box, the average values will be exported.

    Period
The period of the data export automatically matches the chart period. In the top left of your screen, go to "export data" and then "select period" to adjust the period of the data export.

    File format
You can choose to export your data in *.xlsx, *.txt, *.csv or in *.html format. To change this, go to "export data" at the top left of your screen and then "choose format". You can also set your preferred language here.

    Other settings
You can round the exported values to times based on a fixed time interval. You can also export times without data anyway with possibly a text that will be used with the missing data. Go to "export data" and then "other settings" at the top left of your screen to change this.

If your data export is set to your liking, then click "export data", the data will be automatically downloaded to your computer.

If you export large quantities of data, which happens especially easily when exporting 5 min data, it might take long or it might even be impossible if you have a slower internet speed. In this case, you can either reduce the number of parameters you export or shorten the data export period.
