Selecting a period for a dashboard

Selecting a period for a dashboard

A dashboard displays data using graphs, tables, meters, and other visual elements.
One of the key advantages of dashboards is that different tiles can communicate with each other.
This means, for example, that a graph and a meter can show the same data at the same moment.
This only works if the tiles are set to the same time period.

By default, the time periods of graphs and meters are shown as they were originally configured.
Fortunately, it’s easy to adjust these periods within the dashboard.

Selecting a Time period

At the top right of the dashboard, between the support button and the crop list, you’ll find the option “Select a period”.
Click this to open a pop-up window.

Choose a periode

In the pop-up window, you’ll see two calendars:
  1. Left calendar: start date of the period
  2. Right calendar: end date of the period
You can also adjust the time of the period for more precision.

Use a predifened period

In addition to manually selecting a period, you can choose from predefined options under “Choose a period”:
  1. Past 24 hours
  2. Current calendar week
  3. Past week
  4. Past 4 weeks
  5. Past half year
  6. Past year
  7. Custom period (manual selection)

Pinning a time period

It’s also possible to pin a time period.
This ensures that every time the dashboard is reopened, the selected period is automatically displayed.
To activate this, simply click the “Pin period” button.
